The Forlorne Belt — Veg-Tan or Latigo & Solid Brass

$110.00 Sale Save

This versatile belt design looks great anywhere— in the shop, on the trail, or out on the town. 9/10 oz medium-heavy weight leather was chosen to hit the sweet spot with comfort and strength.

The leather options:

The natural veg-tanned belt leather comes from American tannery Hermann Oak. This leather is beautiful in its natural appearance, and patinas wonderfully over time, turning a rich and dark honey-tan color through use. It also softens considerably over time. A classy, and time-tested material used widely in the leather good industry for everything from saddles, to purses, belts, and holsters. Send an email if interested in having this leather dyed other colors (tan, dark brown, black, etc.).

The black latigo is a dual-tanned leather ( chrome tan with veg-tan second cycle) that comes from Horween Leather Co of Chicago. Latigo is superior in its weather resistance due to the dual-tan process, infusing the leather with wax and oil to resist the elements. Latigo is more dense and rigid than veg-tan leather, and won't soften as much over time. This leather is especially great for use in the field —carrying tools on the belt and getting caught in the elements.
